Writers’ workshop

Whether it’s for that novel you’ve been writing for years or an early draft of your poetry collection, Writers’ Workshop is an in-person workshop and offers a safe space to meet like-minded local writers and share ideas within a warm writing community.

See how others approach creativity, whilst developing your own skills, by giving insightful comments on the words of others.

Over the 6 week course, attendees will have TWO opportunities to share writing of up to 1500 words; whether that’s poetry, prose, or something else entirely. Send it up to a week ahead of each workshop to let people get familiar with it, discuss it in-depth with fellow creatives during the session, and receive detailed feedback to take away with you.

Our workshop leader will also teach you how to give constructive comments and introduce some of the key components of close reading.

To ensure that each participant receives enough time on their feedback, places are extremely limited.

Classes are in-person and will run for 6 weeks, starting Monday September 22nd (19:30 - 21:00) at St Mark’s Church (Hitchin, SG5 1UR).
