Will is a Hitchin-based writer, private tutor and events emcee with a BA in English and an MA in Creative Writing, both from the University of Leicester. They have eight years’ worth of experience both as a Mental Health Workshop Facilitator and as a Spoken-Word Events Coordinator (online and in-person) partnering with organisations such as the Bedfordshire & Luton Recovery College, Titan PCN and ELSA. Will has also worked as a tutor for eight years both at Westminster Tutors and as a private tutor for students across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and London.

Tom Irvine
Director
Tom is a Hitchin-based poet with a BA in English and American Literature from the University of Leicester and an MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) from the University of East Anglia. He has over five years experience working in the publishing industry at the British Library, three years’ experience running Creative Writing workshops, and has been featured by publishers such as Ink Sweat & Tears, Black Sunflowers and Eggbox Publishing. He was named one of The Best New British and Irish Poets 2019-2021 by Black Spring Press.

Chris Housden
Head of Operations
Chris is a Hitchin-based performance poet, writer and voice actor. He holds a BA in English Literature with Creative Writing and Practice from Lancaster University where
he was also President of the Lancaster University Writers’ Society. He has worked in the publishing industry since 2007, originally bookselling for Waterstones and since moving into managing publishers’ title information at Nielsen IQ BookData and various publishers including Hachette UK.

Reb Day
Head of Socials
Reb is a Hitchin-based comedian, writer and teacher. She has been working with SoW CIC since 2022 as the self-proclaimed ‘Head of Vibes’ (more commonly known as Head of Socials). She was named Your Friend or Mine’s Storyteller of the Year 2024, placed 2nd in So You Think You’re Funny’s national competition at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe and has supported Ria Lina throughout her 2025-26 Riabellion tour securing her place as one of the top up-and-coming comedians to watch in the country.
