SoW Spotlight with Charlotte Lunn & Holly Moberley - Thursday 25th June 2026
Summer is finally here and we’ve got a fantastically-sunny Spotlight to help you clear out those cobwebs! Scathin Books’ own Charlotte Lunn returns to headline once again, this time accompanied by a new face; Poetry Society Young Critic and Broken Sleep poet Holly Moberly. These two sensational poets will be reading from their respective pamphlets, both of which have been described as ‘dazzling’, ‘delicious’, ‘uplifting’ and ‘enticing’. As always, we’ll have some of our homegrown poets taking to the stage to share their latest creations.
Charlotte Lunn is a poet, workshop facilitator and bookseller. After completing her creative writing degree at The University of Derby, she became the events coordinator at Scarthin Books and has regularly reviewed literature for BBC Radio Derby. She has had work commissioned by Shottle Hall and Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. Her debut pamphlet Metamorphosis (Verve Press, 2021) explores the individual healing behind poetry and creative writing.
Holly Moberley (she/they) is a queer poet and poison berry from the South East. She is a Poetry Society Young Critic and has been published in fourteen poems, Bi+Lines, Butcher’s Dog, & The North. She is Bristol’s 2021 LYRA Slam Champion and is currently touring a spoken word show on CPR and the drowning girl motif. Her debut pamphlet, Kinder Parasites (Broken Sleep Books, 2025) is a maximalist and genre-slipping debut that hijacks contemporary idioms, internet detritus, and pop-cultural flotsam to stage a queer, hyper-literate theatre of identity and desire.
