SoW Spotlight with Jake Wild Hall & The Repeat Beat Poet - Saturday 21st May 2026
This one is for the poets! Our second Spotlight of 2026 brings to the stage two names that all poets should be familiar with; co-founder of Bad Betty Press and winner of the PBH 2016 Spirit Of The Free Fringe Award Jake Wild Hall and co-founder of the Hip Hop open mic night Pen-Ting Repeat Beat Poet (Peter deGraft-Johnson) grace the Market Theatre’s stage in what is sure to be an absolutely electric night. As always, we’ll also have some homegrown poets sharing their work alongside these two titans of performance.

He co-edited anthologies The Dizziness of Freedom and Alter Egos (Bad Betty Press, 2018 and 2019).
The Repeat Beat Poet is Peter deGraft-Johnson (PJ), a Hip Hop Poet and broadcaster fusing traditional poetics and Hip Hop culture to capture and extend moments of time, thought, and feeling.
