Have ya missed us? It’s first Shout or Whisper for 2026 and we couldn’t be more excited to bring to you the best poets, performances and pub-chat in all of Hertfordshire.
What was previously ‘Barn Tales’ is now ‘Shout or Whisper’, a perfect opportunity for anyone and everyone to step up on stage and hold the room for a moment - be it through poetry, performance, music or something entirely different. Hosted in the incredibly cosy barn at The Victoria pub in Hitchin, these nights are always filled with positivity and encouragement from the wonderful audience of SoW Community members.

Tickets operate on a pay-what-you-feel model, starting at £1 for Shout or Whisper events. A portion of all proceeds from ticket sales go towards supporting our community initiatives.
